As an R&D center, ZF Engineering Plzeň s.r.o. is involved in the development of products across the entire ZF portfolio, including powertrains for passenger cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, buses, ships and aircraft. We specialize in connectivity in the field of advanced telematics and fleet digitalization, as well as eMobility projects. The Pilsen office deals with electronics, software, design, calculations, hardware and mechatronics development at functional and system level. We develop connectivity solutions in the field of telematics, vehicle diagnostics and digitalization of industrial production, as well as various software tools for automation and artificial intelligence.
Since 2007, when ZF Engineering had around 50 engineers, our team has grown to more than 950 talents. The company's growth is not just in headcount, but in the technologies we use, including specialized labs for power electronics and environmental testing. The R&D center has undergone the biggest transformation in its scope of activities. The nature of the work has changed over the past few years, from the completion of partial tasks to project-oriented activities with full responsibility for the respective area.

Business inteligence Intern
Student will work on tasks delivering solutions for Business Intelligence (BI) area. The complete workflow can cover one or more of these team roles: Business Analyst, Data Engineer, Power BI Report Designer. We cooperate in international teams connecting members from several countries with various accents so there is a weekly or daily contact with English speaking colleges. The student will learn practical and recent technologies and will get some insights into complexity of automotive software development process. Technology stack may content part or all of those: [SQL Server, Power BI, GIT, Python, Databricks, Azure, Mongo DB]. The list is ranged from most used to least. (SQL as the most used)
Digitalization Intern
The student will be part of the digitization team, which focuses on optimizing internal processes. Projects are handled using low-code/no-code technologies (Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint) or standard software development (Python, HTML, Django, Openshift, Docker). The student will be involved in broader activities of the digitization team, gaining practical insight into its functioning. At the same time, they will work on their own tasks for specific digitization projects. Digitization is about continuous improvement, so it is important to constantly look for new opportunities to improve internal processes and actively participate in their implementation.
